Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• At 1:38 p.m. Saturday near Fifth Street in Douglas, a woman, 40, reported the theft of her antique quarter-carat diamond earrings. The earrings are worth $600.

Vehicle accidents:

• The driver of a green 2000 Chevy Blazer was cited for failure to yield after stopping at 4:13 p.m. Saturday after a head-on collision with a white 2000 Jeep Cherokee near Glacier Highway and Kmart. Both vehicles were towed. A passenger in the Jeep was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

• A man, 47, was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance after driving his red 1992 Oldsmobile into a white 2001 Subaru at 8:22 p.m. Saturday near Tenth Street and Egan Drive. The Oldsmobile sustained $500 in damage and was towed. The Subaru sustained $2,000 in damage.

Animal complaint:

• Bears were reported at 11:20 p.m. Saturday near Thunder Mountain Road and at 12:22 a.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway and Lemon Creek.


• A man, 48, was cited and released for criminal trespass at 11:34 a.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street.
