Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Daniel Losselyoung, 34, was arrested for drunken driving and misconduct involving weapons at 7:38 p.m. Sunday at Glacier Highway and Sherwood Lane. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correction Center and his vehicle was impounded. The weapons involved were a handgun and a rifle.
Thefts:
A 29-year-old man was arrested for second-degree theft at 9:20 a.m. Saturday on Trout Street. He was taken to state prison.
A CD visor holder with music CDs was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Berners Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Two black purses, a cell phone and a pager were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Cinema Drive at 4:17 p.m. Saturday.
A red 1992 Dodge pickup was reported stolen sometime Saturday night after it was parked on Spruce Street.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A stack of plastic pumpkins was reported stolen from a yard on Threadneedle Street sometime Friday night. A pumpkin also was thrown at the side of the house. No damage to the home was reported.
The window to a Mendenhall Mall Road shop, valued at $300, was reported broken sometime Saturday.
A car tire valued at $120 was reported slashed at 9:07 p.m. Saturday on James Boulevard. A 1990 Honda Prelude on Poplar Avenue was reported damaged at 3:55 a.m. Sunday when someone threw rocks through the front and rear windows. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
The driver's side door and hood of 2002 silver Toyota were reported scratched between 2 and 11 a.m. Sunday on Forest Lane. No damage estimate was available.
The window of a building on the 2100 block of Egan Drive was reported broken at 2:34 p.m. Sunday.
Vehicle papers and a black and yellow flashlight were reported stolen from a 1990 Honda Civic between 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Glacier Avenue.
Underage drinking:
A woman, 19, was cited and released for minor consuming alcohol at 6:06 p.m. Saturday when police responded to a disturbance report on Front Street.
Vehicle accidents:
A girl, 16, was cited for negligent driving after she lost control of a silver 1992 Ford Taurus at 7:54 p.m. Saturday on Tongass Boulevard. Damage to the car was estimated at $3,500 and injuries were reported.
The 17-year-old driver of a red 1992 Ford Explorer hit a speed limit sign at 12:44 a.m. on University Drive. The car sustained $500 to $1,000 in damaged and the driver was cited for careless driving. No injuries were reported.
Hit-and-run incidents:
A 1991 Honda Civic was hit between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Wood Duck Avenue. The car's trunk lid was dented and the tail light broken. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
Animal encounters:
A bear was reported hanging out near a porch on Thane Road at 3:03 p.m. Saturday. Bears also were reported Sunday at 4:32 a.m. on Gastineau Avenue and at 8:05 p.m. on Carrol Way.
