Southeast Alaskan Dogs Organized for Ground Search

Organization description: SEADOGS provides trained search and rescue dogs through the Alaska State Troopers for emergency search and rescue missions.

Years of service: 28 years

Volunteer positions available: Get "lost" in the woods for training purposes. SEADOGS is looking for high school graduates to hide in the woods. Dogs doing avalanche and wilderness search training will find the lost volunteers. SEADOGS seeks people with strong outdoors and back-country survival skills, good common sense and the ability to work well with people and agencies.
