Obama and Biden support veterans

I am a Vietnam-era veteran voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden because they support modernization of the VA.

Under George Bush and the Republicans in the House and Senate, including John McCain, veterans programs have been consistently underfunded.

Barack Obama has a plan to modernize the VA, taking care of all our returning troops and veterans from earlier wars.

I attended college on the GI Bill. Without it, I would not have been able to afford a higher education. One of the more important pieces of legislation passed in this decade is the new GI Bill, which dramatically improves education benefits for our veterans. Barack Obama was a vocal advocate and co-sponsor of this bill, while John McCain opposed it.

Barack Obama is committed to improving VA benefits, making sure veterans of the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families will be supported with improved educational, medical and other support services. Barack will bring us the change we need.

I urge veterans and those who support veterans to vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
