Jerrold and Bette Olson of Auke Bay - Alaska residents for more than 58 years - will be celebrating 60 years of marriage on Oct. 29, 2004.
Jerrold served more than 34 years of federal service, first with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Commercial Fisheries out of the Seattle Montlake Laboratory, then with the National Marine Fisheries Service, ending up with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration at its Auke Bay Laboratory.
The Olsons have two daughters, both born in Alaska, currently living in the Lower 48. Jette (Olson) Schuh lives in Santa Barbara, Calif., with her husband, Rick, and two sons, Eric and Brian. Kari (Olson) Crane lives in rural Illinois, 20 miles west of Rockford, with her husband, Jerome, and three children, Kelsie, Jordyn and Morgan.
The Olsons invite their friends, neighbors and colleagues to join them for coffee and refreshments from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at the Resurrection Lutheran Church at 740 W. 10th St. in Juneau.
