JUNEAU -- The Small Business Development Center is sponsoring two seminars this month to help business owners market their products and balance their books.

The SBDC is a partnership program with the University of Alaska and the U.S. Small Business Association. It serves as a free consultation center for prospective and current business owners.

The seminar held from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, "Getting Printed," deals with the marketing process. Local professionals will discuss topics such as taking a business marketing concept and putting it in action as well as working with photographers, designers and the print media.

"Low-Tech Business Bookkeeping," held from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, will assist people in bookkeeping basics and is ideal for beginners.

Both seminars will be held on the third floor of the Juneau Empire building. The cost is $25 and registration is required. For more information call the SBDC at (907) 463-3789.
