Donald Wade Murray

Donald Wade Murray died Oct. 14, 2001, in Juneau.

He was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Central City, Colo., and came to Juneau after serving in World War II and earning an engineering degree in Colorado. He married Margaret Eleanor Pearce of Douglas in 1963, and worked for 30 years in construction engineering.

He was a member of the Elks' Lodge, and enjoyed remodeling and restoring his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pearce Murray.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Pearce Hartley Fleek and her family of California; long-time family friend Miriam Lowe; and his friends at the Lucky Lady.
