Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Allen O'Neil, 53, of Pelican was arrested for drunken driving at 1:10 a.m. today near Glacier Highway. He also was charged with reckless driving. He is being held in lieu of $500 bail and is lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• Police arrested a man, 42, for domestic violence assault at 4:48 p.m. Thursday near Willoughby Avenue. He was lodged at the state prison.


• An Alpine CD player was reported stolen at 9:19 a.m. Thursday from a 1993 Nissan parked near Glacier Highway. A window was broken to access the CD player.

• A credit card and cash were reported stolen from a residence at 11:44 p.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Loop Road.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Thursday at 8:07 a.m. near Pine Street, 8:54 p.m. near Churchill Way and 11:44 p.m. near Brittany Place, and today at 12:56 a.m. near South Franklin Street.
