The madness of calculating revenge

Various sources put the number of innocent people killed in the New York City World Trade Center towers on 9/11 at about 3,000. George W. Bush's estimate for the number of innocent Iraqis killed since March 2003 is about 30,000. Thirty thousand is the population of Juneau. A university study puts the number of innocent Iraqis killed at about 600,000. Six hundred thousand is the population of Alaska.

Sound off on the important issues at

By Bush's statistic, the kill ratio for innocents is 10 to 1 in favor of the United States. Using the university statistic, the kill ratio for innocents is 200 to 1. The world's population is about six billion. The U.S. population is about 300 million. The United States is the super power of the good, so the other 6 billion are the "evil ones" (according to Bush's description). Using Bush's 10-to-1 statistic, when all 300 million innocent Americans are killed, there will still be three billion evil ones left. We lose. Using the university ratio, it will only take 30 million dead Americans to wipe out the six billion evil ones. We win, and the world is ours.

This war of an eye for an eye, or 200 eyes for an eye, is insane. During the upcoming elections, get your head out of the bushes, and stop this madness. Vote the "stay-the-course" crazies out.
