Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Police cited Jared Cure, 21, on a drunken-driving charge at 11:58 p.m. Monday in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police arrested James Payne, 48, on a drunken-driving charge at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday on Douglas Highway, north of the bridge. They also charged him with disorderly conduct and two counts of reckless endangerment. Police lodged him at the state prison and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police arrested Olga Rose, 57, on a drunken-driving charge at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 8900 block of Glacier Highway near the airport. They lodged her at the state prison and impounded the vehicle she was driving.
Police responding to a shoplifting report cited a man, 30, on a larceny charge at 12:26 p.m. Monday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.
A black and white Hawaiian print purse, holding a Hawaiian print wallet and about $120, was reported stolen at 12:48 p.m. Monday in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway near the airport.
A Panasonic stereo system was reported stolen from an unlocked residence at 3:42 p.m. Monday in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive in the Valley.
About $700 worth of items was reported stolen at 3:53 p.m. in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway near the airport.
A man reported a theft of services at 10:31 p.m. Monday in the 9200 block of Glacier Highway near the airport. The loss was listed at $53.
A $1,200 diamond ring was reported stolen from a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am at 10:49 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Second Street in Douglas.
Police cited a man, 27, on a careless-driving charge after an accident at 2:57 p.m. Monday on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. He was driving a 1987 Ford truck that reportedly struck a 2003 Dodge truck, driven by a man, 69. Damage was estimated at $500 to the Dodge and $2,000 to the Ford.
Police cited a woman, 70, on charges of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic and failure to carry proof of insurance after an accident at 4:10 p.m. Monday on inbound Egan Drive near the Mendenhall Wetlands. The woman was driving a 1987 Honda Prelude. Also involved in the accident was a 2001 Mercury driven by a man, 26. The Honda reportedly struck the Mercury. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Mercury and $1,500 to the Honda.
Police cited a man, 20 and a woman, 19, on underage drinking charges at 2:28 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West Ninth Street downtown.
Bears were reported getting into garbage at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Third Street downtown and at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday near Trafalgar Avenue and Threadneedle Street in the Valley.
A Blueberry Hill resident called police at 5:55 a.m. on Oct. 10 to report a burglary had occurred in the previous eight hours.
Although they were at home, they were unaware of the break-in. The stolen items included: a Dell 9100 laptop computer, a green bag containing books and papers, a small black cloth purse containing credit cards and a black leather purse containing credit cards. Value of the stolen items was placed at $2,000.
