As a former Sitka resident, I have to take offense with Donn Liston characterizing it as a "backwater." I was raised in Sitka and know many smart, hard-working,friendly people that are anything but "backwater." It is comments like that that drive a wedge between Juneau and the other fine communities in S.E. Alaska. Apparently, Mr. Liston had a problem with a judge in Sitka. What that has to do with Tim Grussendorf is anybody's guess. We need people like Tim to promote closer ties to these other towns. They are our neighbors! I have known Tim for a long time. He will be a great asset to this community if elected.
