Hunting how-to

Posted: Sunday, October 28, 2007

A group of sixth-graders from Floyd Dryden Middle School learned outdoor skills last week, including how-to training about hunting.

Students heard lectures in classrooms and at the hunter education facility on Montana Creek Road. Then they were taken to the Indoor Shooting Range for practice with air rifles.

Mentor and organizer Ken Coate hopes to one day offer the training to every sixth-grader in the state.
