Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
About 4:15 p.m. Friday, Cathy Bannish, 38, was arrested on Egan Drive inbound for drunken driving. She was transported to the Juneau Police Department for processing. She then was released.
About 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Joanne Hosey, 32, was arrested on Jerry Drive for drunken driving. She was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Assaults:
About 2:45 a.m. Saturday, a man, 24, was arrested at Marlintini's Lounge for assault. He was transported to state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.
Thefts:
Police responded about 7 p.m. Friday to a report of a rock being thrown through the window of a vehicle on Old Glacier Highway. A purse was stolen from the vehicle. There were no leads or suspects.
Warrant arrests:
About 2:30 p.m. Friday, a boy, 13, was arrested on Foster Avenue on a detention order and transported to the Johnson Youth Center.
Trespassing:
About 3 a.m. Saturday, a man, 21, was arrested in Marlintini's parking lot for criminal trespass. He was transported to state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.
Injuries, ambulance calls:
At 1:27 p.m. Saturday, firefighters from downtown and the Mendenhall Valley responded to Floyd Dryden Middle School because of a report of a boy who had been knocked out from a fall while playing basketball.
At 1:56 p.m. Saturday, firefighters and an ambulance responded to Juneau-Douglas High School's main gym, where a wrestler was reported to have been injured. The wrestler was a senior from Hoonah who suffered a possible broken collar bone or rib. He was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital on a back board.
Animal encounters:
A bear hanging around the water's edge at Norway Point for several days has been causing a traffic hazard, as motorists slow or stop to watch him. Juneau Police observed him splashing in the water there about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Police urge motorists not to block traffic while sightseeing.
Other:
About 7:40 p.m. Friday, a girl, 17, was cited on Mendenhall Loop Road for driving without a valid operator's license. She was then released.
