Sen. Kim Elton's opponent says that Juneau needs a senator who can work with members of both parties. I agree. That is precisely why I am voting to re-elect Sen. Elton to the state Senate.
He has a proven record of results. Look at the last session. When all was said and done Juneau had more than $78 million in the state capital and bond budgets. Nearly half of that money - $36 million - originated in the Republican-controlled Senate!
This money will allow Juneau to build a new high school in the valley. These appropriations were the result of bipartisan negotiations between Sen. Elton, other Democrats, and key members of the Senate Republican leadership.
Sen. Elton has the savvy, the integrity, the legislative experience, and the respect of his colleagues to get the job done. Let's keep him working successfully in the Senate for Juneau.
Rep. Juneau House District 4, 1971-86
