Wanamaker's views win over new voter

I am a recently naturalized citizen who will be voting in November for the first time. I have given my choices a lot of thought, and I am going to vote for Randy Wanamaker for House District 4. The reasons I support Randy are based on watching his work on the Assembly for the past five years. Randy is a thoughtful and skilled Assembly member who listens before he makes up his mind. Those are character traits I want in a legislator.

Sound off on the important issues at

There are a number of other things I appreciate about him, such as his support for an Immigration Assistance Office, support for full funding for education, constant work to provide affordable housing, support for social service programs for all age groups, support to provide responsible economic development such as the Kensington Mine, development of the vocational training program that is putting hundreds of people to work at Kensington, and his ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people on so many different issues in our community.

These valuable skills and traits and Randy's commitment to Juneau will serve to protect the capital and state jobs.
