I would like to address all the voting citizens of Alaska for this upcoming election on Nov. 2, concerning Proposition B. I firmly believe Alaska is the last great state in the union because of its focus on economic viability, maintaining its diverse culture, and its high regard towards providing an elite education system for our youth.
The voting citizens of Alaska have a unique opportunity to vote yes on Proposition B in the November election, to provide much needed funds to improve the education of the pupils who are the future of this great state.
Voting yes will ensure that a critical science and lab facility will be built at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks (which is the research hub and future of this state); provide much needed funds for schools in the western part of the state, and allocate funds for a fish and game research building in the Kodiak area.
Education and research is what drives Alaska and thus should be of the utmost priority and importance. When budgets are tight and the economy is slow, the last thing that we need to do is cut education spending and research. So, on Nov. 2, please vote yes on Proposition B.
