Maybe I should have hand-delivered the letter I mailed a week ago. And yes, I'm not surprised that no one showed up on a Friday night at 7 p.m. to testify. What I really am surprised about is that no one in DOT ever bothered to communicate with their own bicycle paths and trails coordinator at any time during the development of these regulations. It is difficult enough to get volunteers and race directors in the best of circumstances. Adding this level of bureaucracy may just be the straw that breaks the camel's back. This is hardly the legacy I would expect from the Knowles administration.
