Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Driving while intoxicated:

• Winthrop Gruening, 58, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday on the Juneau Douglas Bridge and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and his car was impounded.

Motor vehicle accident:

• Police said they cited a 21-year-old female for speeding and for not having insurance shortly after midnight Saturday on the 3000 block of Douglas Highway, after she drove a 1986 Ford Truck into a 1996 Landrover. Total damages were estimated at $6,000.

• Police said they cited a 40-year-old male for speeding at 8:49 a.m. Saturday on Norwood Point, after he drove a 1989 Plymouth Acclaim into a 2005 Ford. Total damages were estimated at $3,000.

• Police reported that $4,000 in damage was done by a 39-year-old male who attempted to drive his car between two parked vehicles on East Street.

Vandalism:

• A 33-year-old male reported at 5 p.m. Sunday on the 8200 block of Poplar Avenue that one of the windows of his house had been cracked by a thrown egg. Damage was estimated at $600.
