Watts' four goals propels Blue past Air Excursions

Johansen's second-period goal gives Black a 2-1 Tier B win

Kit Watts scored four goals and assisted on Molly Yerkes' score to lead the Blue past Air Excursions 7-1 on Sunday in a Juneau Adult Hockey Association Tier C game at Treadwell Arena.

Brian Zepp and Travis Wolfe scored the Blue's other two goals while Josh Yerkes had two assists. Also in the win, Molly Yerkes and Gary Zepp added one assist each.

Jeff Goetz tallied an unassisted goal midway through the second period for Air Excursions' lone goal.

Air Excursions goaltender Jay Bloom made 27 saves while the Blue's Scott Sell stopped 15 shots.

TIER B

Black 2, Good Hardware 1

Larry Johansen broke a 1-1 tie in the second period to give the Black team a win over Good Hardware on Sunday.

Patrick Race earned the assist on Johansen's goal while Josh McAdoo scored off Jesse Blackwell's pass in the win.

Black goaltender Dawn Voss turned back 14 of 15 shots in the win.

For Good Hardware, Stephan Byers scored off assists from Michele Drummond and Jeffery Johns.

Scott Sell stopped 11 shots for Good Hardware.

TIER A

Kensington Goldminers 2, Ice Pirates 2

Dave Kovach scored both of the Kensington Goldminers' goals as the two teams skated to a Sunday tie.

Chris Mertl, Flip Pryor and Jeff Nichols had assists for the Goldminers.

For the Ice Pirates, Aaron Jacobs and Brian Drew scored goals while Drew Graham, Tom McKenna and Jacobs contributed assists.

Ben White made 19 saves for the Ice Pirates while Kensington Goldminers goaltender Jerry Nankervis stopped 22 shots.

Grey 5, Doc Water's Pub 0

Stephen Morrison stopped all 15 shots he faced to seal a Grey's shutout win over Doc Water's Pub.

Mike Farrell scored twice while T.J. Preston, Trevor Lyden and Nate Haddock picked up one goal each in the shutout. Brian Van Kirk had two assists while Alan Steffert, Anders Peterson and Preston had an assist for the Grey.

WOMEN'S B

Orange 2, Green 2

Kasey Fudge and Mary Hausler scored for the Green in its tie with the Orange on Sunday.

Hausler and Kara Winegar posted the assists on Fudge's goal.

For the Orange, Molly McCormick and Kristie Erickson scored while Sharon Buis and Debbie Vance had assists.

Orange goaltender Nandi Than made 11 saves while Karla Bush stopped 10 shots.
