Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Assaults:
A man, 38, was arrested for domestic violence assault and interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday in the Salmon Creek area. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A man reported at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday from Mendenhall Mall Road that four tires, tire rims and several items from beneath the hood of his vehicle were stolen sometime Monday.
Police responded to a report at 7:42 p.m. Tuesday near Portage Boulevard that a woman's pumpkin had been stolen and smashed in the road.
A man reported at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday near Park Place that three of his pumpkins were stolen and smashed in the road.
Vehicle accidents:
A driver swerved to avoid hitting a bear at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday near Back Loop Road and the Montana Creek Bridge. The vehicle struck a nearby guardrail. There was approximately $1,000 to $2,000 in damage to the vehicle. There were no injuries.
