DOT finds moderate wear and tear on Peterson Creek Bridge

Department of Transportation bridge inspectors found moderate amounts of decay, crushing and splitting in the Peterson Creek Bridge.
The final inspection results are not yet done, but the bridge has load limits and is restricted to one-way traffic, said Roger Wetherell, spokesman for the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. Those restrictions remain in place.
The inspection of the bridge was done earlier this week and required intermittent closures.
Peterson Creek Bridge is on Amalga Harbor Road, and provides access to the boat launch there.
