Driving while intoxicated:
Sound off on the important issues at
Mary Nilsson, 37, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday for driving while intoxicated. She also was cited for driving without a license. Nilsson was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vehicle accidents:
At 12:53 p.m. Tuesday, a 39-year-old man drove his 1996 Isuzu into the side of a building in the 400 block of Whittier Street. The incident caused $1,000 damage to the vehicle and $500 damage to the building.
Found property:
At 2:39 p.m. Tuesday, a backpack full of clothing was found near Whittier Street. It was handed to police, pending contact with the owner.
Domestic violence:
A 40-year-old man was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday for violating a domestic-violence restraining order. He was lodged at the state prison.
Bear complaints:
A bear was spotted getting into garbage at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Franklin Street.
Vandalism:
Two pumpkins were reported smashed at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Douglas Highway. The value of the pumpkins was unknown.
Theft:
At 10:12 a.m. Wednesday, a 59-year-old man reported that family memorabilia, christening cups and costume jewelry were stolen from his home in the 11500 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.
