Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A man reported at 7:20 a.m. Thursday from Dudley Street that obscenities were spray-painted on his vehicle.
A man reported at 7:43 a.m. Thursday near Dudley Street and Tongass Street that his Chevy truck and work vehicle were spray-painted.
Police responded at 8:08 a.m. Thursday near Haloff Way to a report of vandalism at a house under construction. The garage door and vinyl siding had been spray-painted.
A woman reported at 8:16 a.m. Thursday near Mountainwood Circle that her rear passenger window of her husband's silver Toyota Corolla was smashed Wednesday night.
Police responded to a report at 8:24 a.m. Thursday from Stephen Richards Memorial Drive that a truck had been spray-painted with obscene language in orange paint.
A man reported at 8:55 a.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Loop Road that his Ford Ranger was egged and his two front tires slashed Wednesday night.
A man reported at 9:15 a.m., Thursday near Old Dairy Road that his business was egged and a pumpkin was smashed against the entranceway.
A man reported at 9:31 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway that the windows were broken in his 1990 Cadillac around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
A woman reported at 12:29 p.m. Thursday near Killewich Drive that her blue Jeep and her husband's green Dodge were spray-painted Wednesday night.
Police responded to a report of vandalism at 9:32 p.m. Thursday near Hurlock Avenue. She said a large rock had been thrown through the driver-side window of her vehicle.
Animal encounters:
A bear was struck and killed at 8:56 p.m. Thursday on Egan Drive near Sunny Point. A Ford ESC driven by a woman, 43, struck the bear as it tried to cross the road. The Ford was totaled. Another vehicle driving by narrowly avoided hitting the bear and ended up in the ditch.
Other:
Employees at a business, whose name was not disclosed, reported at 2:41 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway that a Winchester 1300 pump type shotgun was missing from stock.
