Reason: "I chose choir because it is the most beautiful form of singing. Choir is so pretty, just listening to the beautiful music encourages me.
Experience: "I have been singing since I was a little kid."
All in the family: "My mom sings beautifully. I think that she wanted to sing for a living but it did not work out. I think I get my singing voice from her."
Favorites: "I really don't have a favorite artist, but my inspiration is Martina Mcbride. I like singing it is my favorite thing to do . I sing like and angel."
Future plans: "Of course I will keep singing. I really hope that I can sing for a living. I don't know how much money ... but I am sure it will be a lot. I wish to go to college and get my master's degree in (cooking)."
You should know: "I am double-jointed. I can cook really good, besides pizza. My mom is my hero. She is the most wonderful person you will ever meet."
Her choir teacher Karen Rigdon says: "Shay is so motivated to sing. She sets an example for all her classmates by always trying to do better at every rehearsal. She has volunteered to sing a duet with a classmate in the winter concert. Shay comes to class with a positive attitude and doesn't miss a note in her choir class rehearsals. She glows with her love of singing and her boundless enthusiasm."
