Cathy's commitment
There is no doubt that tourism is an increasingly important part of Juneau's economy - and that's one major reason why I support Cathy Muñoz for Senate.
Cathy owns a small, tourism-related business - and I believe Cathy's strength as Juneau's senator is reflected in her business style. While many of Juneau's tourism businesses hibernate for the winter, Cathy's downtown gallery remains open to serve the local market. To me, that shows creativity, business acumen and a real commitment to Juneau.
Cathy's work on the Borough Assembly has kept her in the thick of Juneau's governmental interaction with the tourism industry. Cathy understands our community, Alaska as a while and the tourism industry. Juneau could not have a better combination of skills in an officeholder.
She will be a great senator.
