Bonn Trinidad, left, unveils a Manila Square sign during a naming ceremony Saturday for the new downtown square. The area south of the Red Dog Saloon to the roundabout was renamed Manila Square in honor of the contributions of the Filipino community to Juneau. The community is planning a large celebration and dedication of the square next summer. Watching Trinidad unveil the sign are, left to right, Assembly member Jeannie Johnson, Lorenzo Jaravata Jr. and Danny Lazaro. Lazaro is president of the Juneau Filipino Community.
