Robert V. Blankenship
Juneau resident Robert V. Blankenship died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, in Juneau.
He was born in Sitka on Sept. 15, 1953. Most of his life was spent in Sitka until he moved to Juneau in 1999. He was a commercial fisherman and a heavy-equipment operator.
He is survived by four children, Paul of Sitka; Laura and Cecilia of Juneau; Jessica and her husband Ira of Ramstein, Germany; grandson Andrew; parents Vaughn and Marian Blankenship of Sitka; grandmother Rose Marvin of Sitka; brother and sister-in-law Brian and Annette Blankenship of Sitka; sister and brother-in-law Rose and Al Risley of Juneau; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A prayer service was held at onNov. 2, at the Cathedral of the Nativity. Funeral services will take place in Sitka at a later date.
