In season: Black bear (Sept. 1-June 30), brown bear (Sept. 15-Dec. 31, March 15-May 31), deer (Sept. 15-Dec. 31), mountain goat (Sept. 1 or Oct. 1, depending on area,-Nov. 31), wolf (Aug. 1-April 30), wolverine (Nov. 10-Feb. 15), ducks, geese, brants, snipe, crane (Sept. 1-Dec. 15), red and blue king crab (Oct. 1-March 31), coho salmon (June-Nov.). Ongoing: Eaglecrest Ski Area season passes available at the pre-season discount through Thanksgiving weekend. Eaglecrest staff will be at the Nugget Mall for season pass and ski locker sales Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Ongoing: Trap shooting at the Juneau Gun Club, on Montana Creek Road, 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays. Details: 789-9844.
