Kodiak man charged with sexual abuse

ANCHORAGE - A 39-year-old Kodiak man has been arrested by police in Anchorage on eight counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
Police said Raul W. Canete was arrested Sunday upon his return to Anchorage from South Korea, where he was stationed with the U.S. Army.
Police say they began investigating the case in May 2008, when the original complaint was made.
Bail was set at $100,000.
