ANCHORAGE - Gov. Sean Parnell's Rural Action Subcabinet is on the move again.
Attorney General Dan Sullivan and other cabinet members flew to Tanana on Monday as part of the subcabinet's third tour. Stops also are scheduled for Ruby and Galena.
Sullivan is the chair of the subcabinet. He is being accompanied by Emil Notti, the commerce commissioner; Mike Black, his deputy; Larry Hartig, the commissioner of environmental conservation; Click Bishop, the labor commissioner; and John Moller, the governor's rural affairs adviser.
Sullivan said the subcabinet is looking for ways to improve the quality of life for rural Alaskans. He says there will be three days of public hearings that will help shape recommendations for the governor, particularly in the areas of economic and energy challenges.
