Democratic team

I urge Juneau to vote the Democratic Party ticket this Nov. 5. The Democrats have always led the fight to protect the right of working people to a living wage and a safe work environment, the right of women to have control over their bodies, and the right of children to a quality education regardless of their parent's economic status. These values are the cornerstone of the Democratic Party platform, and we will always stand firm against those who seek to undermine them.

This year the Democrats have a great team to offer Juneau:

Sen. Kim Elton was raised in Juneau, and makes his home here year round. He is a Vietnam veteran. He stands on his principles, and is one of the most thoughtful legislators. Nobody works harder for working people. He has proven he can get the job done for Juneau.

Rep. Beth Kerttula has been a strong voice for Juneau in the House - leading the charge against cruise-ship pollution, fighting for education, and working to resolve the budget gap with the bipartisan fiscal committee.

Tim Grussendorf, a commercial fisherman, is no stranger to hard work. He has two children attending our public schools, so he knows how the importance a quality education. His 10 years of experience working for the Legislature make him ideally suited to jump right in and get to work for Juneau.

Fran Ulmer is a former mayor of Juneau and has represented Juneau in the Legislature. She has lived in Juneau for three decades. She is a proven and effective fighter against the capital move and strongly supports improved access to the capital city. She will make the best governor for the people of Juneau.

Juneau needs to be represented by strong voices. We are lucky we have a great team of hard workers with great minds and kind hearts to stand up for our families, working people, and children. Vote Democrat!
