en Carrlee, curator of collections for the Juneau-Douglas City Museum, helps steady the "Harnessing the Atom" totem pole Monday as it is lifted into place by a crane in front of the museum. A ray of light from the setting sun worked its way through a stand of trees and directly illuminated the totemic symbol of the Tlingit creation myth, "Man on Top of the Sun." The totem pole, carved by now-retired Juneau Tlingit artist Amos Wallace in 1967, was cleaned and refitted with a concrete base and a metal support.
