Juneau resident Jeanne Alice "Zelda" Davis, 82, died Oct. 31, 2003, at the Juneau Pioneers' Home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Detroit, Mich. She attended the University of Illinois. She worked for many years developing and managing in-house printing systems for the Hewlett-Packard and Intel Corporate Headquarters.
Her family described her as buoyant, loving, generous and as a joyful person. They wrote, "She enjoyed fishing, flying, fine food and delighted in rescuing and caring for a continuum of creatures of all types. But most of all, she loved being with people."
She was preceded in death by her first child, Ginger Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Miriam of Manila, Philippines; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Lee Hagmeier of Olympia, Wash.; son, James L. Davis of Juneau; granddaughter, Mary Jane; and great-granddaughters, Aliena and Kianna.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Juneau Pioneers' Home.
