Student Artist in the Spotlight

Camille Lockhart

Age: 8

Grade: 3

School: Glacier Valley Elementary School

Art of choice: Camille likes to sing and do drama.

Stealing the show: She sings with the Alaska Youth Choir. The choir is singing in Perseverance Theatre's production of "King Island Christmas."

On tour: Camille would like to sing in Montana because that's where her grandparents live.

Future plans: She plans on being a singer. She might even have her own CDs.

Bragging rights: Camille can do a flip on the trampoline.

Her teacher, Geoffrey Wyatt, says: "Camille has always been a dramatic, well-spoken young lady with lots of confidence. Last year she sang a solo, without a microphone, to the entire school. She is successful in art because of her self-confidence and her willingness to take risks."
