Stevens, Young lead in early voting

With 36 percent of Alaska precincts reporting, embattled incumbents Sen. Ted Stevens and Rep. Don Young were leading their challengers.
Stevens was beating Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich 53,747 to 49,248 votes. Young was beating Democrat Ethan Berkowitz 55,990 to 47,926.
