Homeless Anchorage men delayed in reporting death

Posted: Thursday, November 04, 2010

ANCHORAGE - Some men who discovered a body at an Anchorage homeless camp told KTUU they were turned away when they went to nearby businesses seeking help. The business people didn't like the way the men were dressed.

They finally flagged down a police car Tuesday morning to report the death at the Midtown campsite.

Police are calling the death of the 39-year-old Native suspicious. They have questioned five people but haven't identified a suspect.
