Former Juneau resident Barney Gregory "Greg" Willard, 53, died Oct. 31, 2005, in Anchorage.
He was born to Browne Willard Sr. and Ruth Willard on Sept. 19, 1952, in Hoonah. He was of the Raven-nest house. His Tlingit name was Wa 'Chae. He was raised in Hoonah and also then lived in Juneau and Anchorage.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed anything to do with his Native culture and traditions. He did Native carvings and artwork.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Brown and Jeremy Willard; his sisters Arlene Jewell, Francine Koenig, Lillian Marvin, Maryann Flake and Jennifer Fawcett; his brothers Browne Jr., Samuel and Larry Willard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Nov. 15, 2005, at the Salvation Army in Juneau.
Pallbearers are his sons, Larry Brown and Jeremy Willard, his nephews Bill Abbott and Walter Jewell III.
Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Marvin, Dan Flake, Frank See, Clifford See, Jose Arreola and Douglas Pegues Sr.
