JUNEAU -- A man and a boy were arrested for allegedly assaulting and pulling a gun on two women in a local motel room early Sunday morning.

The boy, 16, whose name was not released, was charged with two counts of felony assault, one count of felony misconduct with a weapon, one count of misdemeanor assault, and one count of underage drinking.

Ricardo Jesus Garcia, 19, who was allegedly with the boy, was charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and underage drinking.

Police received a report at 7:43 a.m. Sunday from a clerk at a motel who said a woman called the front desk saying someone in her motel room had pulled a gun.

Police said they went to the room where two women 20, and 24, told officers Garcia and the boy, whom they had met the night before, had assaulted them after a verbal argument. One then pulled out a gun, the women told police. Police said Garcia and the boy left the scene when one of the women tried to call 911.

Based on descriptions from the women, police said they found Garcia and the boy near the motel. Police said the boy had a loaded handgun magazine in his possession.
