Occupation: Restaurateur , student

Favorite outdoor activities: Sophia, ski racing, cross country, track, soccer. Reecia, skiing, float tripping down the Rogue River in Oregon.

Close call: Sophia, "At the Junior Olympics last year I ate it down the whole mountain. I smashed into the gate. I lost my edge. I kept going and going and going until I hit a tree. It's not a big deal, I do it all the time. It was just normal."

Cool experience: Reecia, "On the Rogue River there's a class 5 that is very scary. It's a waterfall. I was terrified. It just looks like it drops off, but more impressive is the noise, it's a roaring thunder. The heart jumps in the throat, that's what it feels like. It goes so fast, and then when you come to, you look around and make sure everyone's on the boat. One guy flew out and we felt him pounding on the bottom of the raft, and within seconds he popped and up and one of the crew members brought him up on board. I'd never done anything like that before. I made it and that's a good thing. It was the coolest thing I've ever done in my life. The trip of a lifetime."
