In a seminar for the Center for Association Leadership/ASAE called "Improving Delegation: When 'Just Do It' Just Won't Do It," Francie Dalton, president of Dalton Alliances Inc. a Columbia, Md.-based management communications firm, uncovered common mistakes made in delegating duties. Seventy-two percent of respondents polled said the expectations of a delegated job were unclear, while 41 percent said that superiors did not delegate assignments that promote growth.
