The people of Juneau should know that the Boy Scouts did not erect the fence on the road out to the trailhead. A private property owner did.

Regarding the fence put up across the land out at the trailhead to the Eagle Beach Boy Scout Camp, it seems the public has a right to access that trail because of the number of years of public access allowed down it. It seems like the fence should come down.

Why do I have to listen to boombox car stereos at 3 o'clock in the morning?

I wish the cops would crack down on the noisy car stereos that can be heard a block away.

I am angry at the movement to get everyone to vote when electoral votes instead of popular votes get the president into office.

It seems unbalanced that AM630 would give 12 hours a day to ultra-Republicans Rush Limbaugh, Mike Reagan, Dr. Laura and Mike Gallagher and no time at all to people who call themselves Democrats.

I thought it was interesting that Joel Bennett was standing in front of the Chamber of Commerce waving a hunting license and asking if he looks like an anti-hunter. Yes, Mr. Bennett, you are an anti-hunter. Why you have a hunting license is beyond me.

Why are we letting a few in Anchorage spend our money so many times to try to move the capital?

If comic space needs to be sacrificed for Arlo and Janis, take Sylvia. Bring back Against the Grain.

Tribune Media Services, from which the Empire purchased Against the Grain, notified us the strip was ending syndication. If it turns up in an offering from another syndicate, we will consider purchasing it. The editor would appreciate hearing from readers about their favorite and least favorite comic strips.
