MOVIES

"Thirteen Ghosts," (R) ends tonight, last show at 7:10 at the 20th Century Twin.

"Heist," (R) starts Friday and shows nightly at 7 at the 20th Century Twin, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 9 and matinees at 2 and 4:10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"The One," (PG13) shows nightly at 7:20 at the 20th Century Twin, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 9:20 and matinees at 2:20 and 4:20 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"Zoolander," (PG13) ends tonight, last show at 6:40 at Glacier Cinemas.

Activities

"These are not Teddy Bears," a program about brown and black bears in Alaska, 11 a.m.-noon Saturday at Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, for kids ages 712, under 7 welcome with adult supervision, free. Dress warmly.

"Brown Bears: Growing up at Pack Creek," Robert Fagen speaks at 7 p.m. Friday, at Egan Library at UAS, free, part of Evenings at Egan lecture series.

Alaska Design Forum speaker: Sculptor James Carpenter, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Back Room at the Silverbow Inn, admission $10 general, $5 for starving artists.

"ORCA auction and benefit," 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, Back Room at the Silverbow, silent and outcry auction, entertainment, Tickets $10. Proceeds support Southeast Alaska Independent Living's Outdoor Recreation and Community Access program.

"A Crazy Show," a family event with clowning, comedy, magic and music, 2 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Hall; with Jeff Brown, Julie Mae Pigott, Roblin Davis and Dawn Pisel, a benefit to support art at Harborview Elementary School. Tickets at the door, $3 for kids, $8 for adults, and $20 for a family.

Theater

"The Merry Wives of Windsor," 7:30 tonight, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, last show Sunday night, presented by Theatre in the Rough. Tickets $14 in advance at Hearthside Books, $16 at the door, $8 for students and seniors and $6 for kids under 12.

"Noises Off," JuneauDouglas High School drama department fall comedy, 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, final show 7 p.m. Saturday at the JDHS auditorium. Tickets $8 students, $10 adults at Hearthside Books.
