Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

• Police arrested a woman, 38, for domestic violence assault at 8:35 p.m. Thursday in the Mendenhall Valley area. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

• A vehicle dolly and various vehicle parts were reported stolen at 11:09 a.m. Thursday near Commercial Boulevard. The items are worth $1,700.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A smashed mailbox was reported at 4:43 p.m. Thursday near Julep Street.

Vehicle accidents:

• No one was injured during a two-vehicle accident at 11:57 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway. A 1991 Subaru Loyale, driven by a woman, 49, was struck by a 1999 Honda, driven by a woman, 33. The Loyale sustained about $2,000 in damage and the Honda had about $1,000 in damage.

• Two rollover accidents were reported around 7 a.m. today near 17 mile Glacier Highway. No one was injured and damage estimates are unknown.

• A vehicle was found upside down in a ditch near the 21000 block of Glacier Highway this morning. Police said they do not know when the accident occurred because the vehicle was unoccupied when they arrived. Traces of blood were found in the vehicle.

• A vehicle sliding on black ice was reported at 7:33 a.m. today near 18-mile Glacier Highway.

• Two one-vehicle accidents were reported at 8:11 a.m. today near Vanderbilt Hill. Both vehicles slid into a guard rail. No one was injured and damage estimates are unknown.

• No one was injured when a vehicle struck a guard rail around 8:12 a.m. today near the Auke Rec area. The vehicle sustained $3,000 in damage.

• A one-vehicle rollover accident was reported at 8:30 a.m. today near Auke Lake. No one was injured and damage estimates were unavailable.

• A vehicle was reported hitting a guardrail near Brotherhood Bridge around 8:32 a.m. today. No injuries were reported and no damage estimates were available.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported today at 12:24 a.m. near Lemon Creek Road, 2:52 a.m. near Gull Way, and 2:53 a.m. near Gull Way.

Other:

• Anthony Wayne Papa, 18, was arrested at 9:53 a.m. Thursday near Fourth Street on an extraditable felony warrant from Fort Knox, Ky. The warrant charges Papa with military desertion. He was lodged at the state prison.

• A man, 26, was arrested on a Skagway police warrant at 5:04 p.m. Thursday near Thunder Mountain Road. The warrant charges the man failed to appear at a court hearing. He was lodged at the state prison.
