Juneau sorority to accept donations for wounded soldiers

JUNEAU - As part of the Hope for Heroes program, which runs Nov. 7 to 14, the Juneau Chapter of Alpha Theta of Epsilon Sigma Alpha is collecting donations for our wounded military soldiers at Madigan Army Hospital at Fort Lewis, Wash. Boxes will be at various locations including the Mendenhall Mall, Nugget Mall and the Federal Building.

Donation items needed include the following: Toothbrushes, massages, chapstick, baseball cards, shower shoes or flip flops, religious books, wet wipes, body wash, body scrubs, coffee mugs, lotion, twin sheet sets, canes, pillows, shower shoes, books, hair brushes or combs, towels, puzzle books (such as word search, sudoku), card games, travel games, small puzzles, robes, pencils, pens, slippers, socks, board games, movie gift cards, T-shirts, boxers, restaurant gift cards, gloves, phone cards, DVDs and CDs, sweatshirts and sweatpants, coffee, books on CD, etc.

All items must be new. Items that we cannot accept include VHS tapes, cassette tapes or items with inappropriate logos on them.
