JUNEAU - Tickets to Alaska's $250,000 lottery are on sale in Juneau at Marlintini's, Henry's, GW Teal's and the Viking. Tickets cost $5.
Ticket sales will end at 1 p.m. Monday at all locations except Marlintini's, which will sell tickets until closing time on Monday. The drawing for the $250,000 is at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Anchorage. Participants do not have to be present to win.
This state authorized lottery is in conjunction with the nonprofit Vietnam Veterans of America 903, which will receive 10 percent of what is leftover after the pay out. State law only allows lotteries if they benefit a charity. The original drawing date of Sept. 7 was extended to Nov. 11.
