Where the money comes from

Thank you Arctic Slope Regional Corp. and Nana Corp. for the large increases in Sealaska Corp.'s dividend; record prices on oil and zinc are behind the dividend increases we shareholders are enjoying.

Sound off on the important issues at

Remember all those timber dollars going north? Well, it appears 7(i) - a legal provision which requires regional Native corporations to share their revenues from timber, oil, gas and minerals with each other - works in reverse also. Shareholders, you can take credit for the dividend also. After all, shareholders created the permanent fund and it kicked in $178 per 100 shares. The shareholder permanent fund and 7(i) represent $933 of the $1,090 per 100 shares Sealaska is about to distribute.
