Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

• Police arrested a man, 28, for domestic violence assault at 7:55 a.m. Monday in the Mendenhall Valley. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• A 14-year-old girl was arrested for assaulting a police officer and domestic violence assault at 11:32 p.m. Monday in the Valley. She was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

• Police arrested a man, 49, for domestic violence assault at 3:52 a.m. today in the downtown area. He was lodged at the state prison. Police believe alcohol was a factor.

Thefts:

• A gray GVC portable CD player was reported stolen at 5:24 a.m. today from an unlocked vehicle near Thunder Mountain Road.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported today at 12:05 a.m. near Northwood Drive.

Domestic violence calls: 3.

Alcohol-related calls: 2.
