ANCHORAGE - NANA Development Corporation (NANA) is creating new construction jobs for Alaskans and generating healthy competition in the oil, gas and mining market with its new construction company NANA Construction, LLC, headed by long-time industry leader Mac McKee.
"NANA is providing another important service in its broad array of competencies and a cost effective option for customers in this important sector of Alaska's economy with NANA Construction," said David W. Márquez, NANA's senior vice president and chief operating officer. "Mac McKee, president of NANA Construction, has more than three decades of experience in the delivery of construction services to the resource industry. His expertise is unparalleled, and we feel confident he will create a strong, profitable company for us."
Established in 2008, NANA Construction's ultimate focus will be on the Alaska market, specializing in steel erection, fabrication and functional checkout of facilities for oil, gas and mining operations. It will work closely with NANA's engineering companies.
McKee, who began his career serving the Alaska resource sector in 1981, says he is very excited about the potential benefits of his company to NANA's more than 12,000 shareholders and to all of Alaska's tradesmen and women.
NANA Construction is in the process of advertising for job openings later this month.
