Home builders and industry representatives meet in Juneau this week for the annual conference of the Alaska State Home Building Association.
The three-day conference at the Baranof Hotel that started Wednesday with a welcome reception offers continuing education classes, a small trade show, board meetings and an awards banquet.
The event is attended by building contractors and other professionals engaged in the housing industry.
More than 80 people registered, but Valerie Williams, executive officer of the local chapter, the Southeast Alaska Building Industry Association, said she expects additional participation from locals who did not register.
The annual event is held in different Alaska cities each year.
The trade show is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday, not including the lunch hour. It is open to the public.
