JUNEAU - Discovery Southeast is inviting local youth between the ages of 7 and 12 to join in the next Discovery Day on Monday, Nov. 15 and again on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Day campers will have an opportnity to enjoy nature inspired activities, experiments, games, art and observe Juneau's backyard as it transitions into winter. Participants will hike and learn on the Lemon Creek Trail on Monday. Tuesday's curriculum will take participants to the Treadwell Ditch Trail.
Discovery Days are day camps offered throughout the school year when students are out of school during teacher in-service, parent-teacher conferences, holidays, and seasonal school breaks. Pick-ups and drop-offs are available at both the valley and downtown at Riverbend and Harborview elementary schools. Bring weather-appropriate clothing, rubber boots, water, snacks and a lunch.
